Doug Pickles

I have been keeping something exceptionally exciting a secret for a little while now...

Kyle and I have recently made an addition to our household, a little black and tan bundle of love called Doug, or Doug Pickles if he's being naughty.

Doug is a Jackshund which is a Jack Russell, Dachshund cross and is the tiniest, sweetest and most inquisitive little scrap of a pooch.  I'd been longing for a dog of my own for so long and an opportunity arose that just seemed like fate and was probably the easiest decision I've ever made.
Doug absolutely adores cuddles and just loves nestling on your lap, so much so he is sat on me as I write this, making typing slightly more difficult than usual.  He loves to dig in his pile of blankets and to play tug with his rope toy.

I seriously can't wait until I'm able to take him out on walks, as this is something I have been so very excited about.

He is still a baby and therefore not completely settled at night.  I'm particularly sleep deprived after Mr Pickles woke us 7 times last night!!  All will be worth it in the end as he is just so gorgeous and the most affectionate bundle of love (but please, cross all of your fingers, eyes and toes that we get more sleep soon!)

I'm totally in love and therefore apologise in advance for the inevitable puppy spam.

  6. Gorgeous! Welcome Doug!

We picked up our new puppy two weeks ago,and I promise that it gets better. Molly was the same - up all night at first, but now, she's down to 1-2 wake ups, and getting better every day.

    Enjoy the puppy cuddles!

    1. This comment is what kept me going through those first few weeks, honestly. I had never had a puppy not sleep through and I thought I was going a little gaga from exhaustion, so thank you!! x
